Sundays at SPC

Our Sunday morning services are all about worshiping our GREAT GOD! We begin at 10:00 a.m. and usually last about 75 minutes. When you walk through the doors of SPC, you can expect to be welcomed by our comfortably dressed and welcoming team of greeters.

They’ll be happy to show you around our building and answer any questions you may have. And if you haven’t had your morning coffee yet, don’t worry—our wonderful hospitality team will have hot coffee and tea waiting for you.

If you have young children in your care, our nurturing team of staff members is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment in our Nursery and Pre-school classrooms. Your precious ones will have the opportunity to explore and learn about Jesus in a loving and supportive atmosphere.

If you have school-age children, we have a thriving Children’s Ministry called Grow Zone, where your kindergartners through 5th graders will have a wonderful time!

If you have teenagers, our Youth Ministry, Roots, will guide your 6th-12th graders on their faith journey.

Both ministries are up and running on Sunday mornings. Check-in for our Grow Zone kids begins at 9:45, while our teens enjoy a portion of the service in the worship center, and then they are dismissed for their Bible lessons.

When service is over, you can visit our lobby once more for a time of refreshments and fellowship with others. If you have any questions before you visit with us, please do not hesitate to call the church office (301-392-5730).

Behold, how good and how pleasant it isFor brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1

Authentic Praise & Worship

At South Potomac Church, we strive to honor God in every aspect of our lives. One of the ways we do this is through praise and worship. Every Sunday morning, we come together as a congregation to express our reverence, gratitude and adoration for God through singing, prayer, fellowship, and the sharing of His Word.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4

Teaching from Scripture

We firmly believe that practical and relevant teaching serves as the catalyst for transformative change in an individual’s life. Scripture, inspired by God, is entirely accurate and holds supreme authority regarding Christian beliefs and serves as the guiding principle for Christian living.

We value Scripture, the Bible, as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. You can expect that each Sunday morning will include a set-aside time for hearing from Scripture, as well as practical teaching surrounding God's Word.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16,17
