Sundays at SPC

Our Sunday morning services are all about worshiping our GREAT GOD! We begin at 10:00 a.m. and usually last about 75 minutes. When you walk through the doors of SPC, you can expect to be welcomed by our comfortably dressed and welcoming team of greeters.

They will be ready to show you around our building and answer any questions you may have, and if by chance, you have not had your morning coffee, no worries, we have a wonderful hospitality team who will have hot coffee and tea waiting for you.

If you have little ones in your care, we have a loving team who staff our Nursery and Pre-school classrooms, so your precious ones can experience a safe and fun time learning about Jesus.

If you have school age children, we have a thriving Children's Ministry, Grow Zone, that your kindergarteners through 5th graders will enjoy!

If you have teens, our Youth Ministry, Roots, will encourage your 6th-12th graders in their faith-walk.

Both ministries are up and running on Sunday mornings. Check in for our Grow Zone kids begin at 9:45, while our teens enjoy a portion of the service in the worship center, then they are dismissed for their Bible lessons.

When service is over, you can visit our lobby once more for a time of refreshments and fellowship with others. If you have any questions prior to your visit with us, please do not hesitate to call the church office (301-392-5730).

Behold, how good and how pleasant it isFor brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1

Authentic Praise & Worship

At South Potomac Church, we seek to honor God in all that we say and do. One of the ways that we honor Him is through praise and worship. On Sunday mornings, we corporately praise and worship Him by singing, praying, fellowshipping with one another and the sharing of God's Word.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4

Teaching from Scripture

We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.

We value Scripture, the Bible, as the basis for understanding of who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. You can expect that each Sunday morning will include a set-aside time for hearing from Scripture, as well as practical teaching surrounding God's Word.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16,17
